These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Edifion Renter and Edifion Owner applications. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The Edifion Marketplace
Edifion provides a digital marketplace connecting vehicle owners ("Owners") with individuals seeking vehicle rentals ("Renters"). Edifion does not own, sell, or lease vehicles directly; we facilitate the secure sharing of assets between verified users.
User Eligibility & Verification
To maintain a secure environment, all users must undergo a mandatory Identity Verification (KYC) process: Identity Requirements: Users must provide a valid Ghana Card or Driver’s License. Biometric Verification: Users must submit a "Selfie" with their ID to prevent spoofing. Account Authority: Edifion reserves the right to reject or suspend any account based on verification failure or internal safety assessments.
Financial Terms & Escrow
Escrow Protection: Renter funds are held in a secure Escrow state by Edifion.
Secure Payments: All rental payments are processed through Paystack or verified Mobile Money networks.
Release of Funds: Payment is released to the Owner once the Renter confirms receipt of the vehicle keys.
Payouts: Owners can withdraw earnings to their registered Bank or Mobile Money accounts (MTN, Vodafone/Telecel, AirtelTigo).
Vehicle Postings & Safety (Owners)
We only share data with essential service providers to enable the app’s functionality: Infrastructure: Supabase (AWS-backed) for secure database storage and authentication. Mapping: Google Maps Platform for rendering locations. Payments: Paystack and Mobile Network Operators for secure transactions. Communications: Firebase for delivering push notifications.
Rental Rules & Liability (Renters)
Permitted Use: Renters must use the vehicle only for legal purposes within the specified geographic focus (Ghana). Handoff Protocols: Renters must participate in the Pre-Handoff and Post-Handoff trip scans to document the vehicle's condition. Reporting: Any damage or mechanical failure must be reported immediately via the in-app chat.
Communication & Conduct
In-App Messaging: Users agree to use the internal messaging system for all booking-related discussions to ensure a record exists for dispute resolution. Ratings: Users may rate and review each other based on their experience. Edifion reserves the right to remove reviews that violate community standards.
Hardware & Location Permissions
By using Edifion, you grant permission for the app to access your GPS Location to track active rentals for security and to calculate delivery fees. You also grant access to your Camera for scanning identity documents and vehicle inspections.
Limitation of Liability
Edifion acts as a facilitator and are not liable for: Physical damage to vehicles beyond insurance coverage limits. Interruption of service due to third-party infrastructure (e.g., Supabase, Google Maps, or Mobile Networks). Disputes arising from off-platform communication or payments.
Termination
Edifion reserves the right to terminate access to the platform for any user who violates these Terms, attempts to circumvent the platform for direct payments, or fails to maintain the safety standards of our community.
